There are so many ways you can get involved in the GREAT futures of our kids. From volunteer opportunities to donations and employment, we've got you covered.
Interested in volunteering? Fill out the volunteer application (find application below) and bring it into the Club, then attend orientation to learn all about us! Questions? Contact Terri Hartness. Even a few hours a week can make a huge impact in the life of our kids and you may not realize it but it can make a tremendous difference in your life as well. Here's a rundown of opportunities we have available.
Academic success is a top priority at the Club and we understand families don't always have the time and resources available to help with homework. Volunteers are needed to help provide the support our kids don't otherwise have available at home to be successful in their academic endeavors.
Good citizenship is something we strive to teach our youth. Programs such as those referenced above, give our kids real opportunities to be actively engaged in their communities. We need volunteers to help facilitate those experiences and provide guidance in the areas of teamwork, democracy and helping others.
The games room is a great opportunity for our kids to learn and practice good sportsmanship as well as challenge themselves to reach for the next level of excellence by fine tuning their skills. Volunteers will find this is a fantastic opportunity for one-on-one interaction, which is an essential building block for healthy youth development. Remember, the majority of our youth don't get to have that one-on-one time at school or at home and our kids value that time.
Are you passionate about something? Music? Magic? Film? Cooking? Dance? Stamps? As a volunteer in the area of special skills, we strongly encourage you to share your passion with our kids. Chances are you have something to offer that even our staff doesn't and our kids have minds like a sponge, eager to absorb anything you can teach them. You choose your topic and facilitate a one-time demonstration or a weekly class. It's up to you. You might have just the right skill to ignite the interest and open a door of possibility for one of our brilliant young minds.
If you've had an opportunity to see our new facility and you specialize in making things look their absolute best or function they way they are intended to, you already know how much opportunity there is for those skills here. If you haven't seen our new Club yet and would like to see what opportunities are available, just let us know and we will be more than happy to show you around.
